Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Glenolden, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bids must include a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid with a surety satisfactory to the Borough. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements in the bid packages, (i.e. insurance, payment bond and performance bond of 100% of the contract, and the E-Verify Public Works Employment Verification Act). The CDBG Contract is subject to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, which requires, to the extent feasible, contractors to employ lower income residents of the project area, and to purchase materials from local businesses. The Bidders attention is called to the fact that the project is receiving funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended and as such, the Davis Bacon and related Acts applies to this Contract and that the successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Federal Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof The Borough of Glenolden reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
