Description: The Project will construct a 15-acre multi-use detention basin requiring the excavation of approximately 131,700 cubic yards of soil. Approximately 45,000 cubic yards will be placed immediately west of the basin on two private properties (8021 Carmencita Avenue and portions of 8041 Carmencita Avenue; APNs: 122-013-012 and -015). The remaining 86,700 cubic yards of soil will be disposed of at a permitted facility chosen by the awarded contractor. The Project will also install an armored concrete weir, culverts, paved multi-use trail, fencing, and internal basin/field drainage infrastructure, and all other work specified on the plans and in the specifications. License required: Class A - General Engineering Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety (using the surety company's bid bond form), a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid.The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
