Renovation of a mixed-use development in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of May 9, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. The City of Somersworth, New Hampshire is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to reconstruct the Italianate Well House roof at the Forest Glade Cemetery. The City reserves the right to accept and/or reject all bids determined to be in the best interest of the City. The scope of work is as follows: 1. Contractor shall remove existing roofing material dispose of construction debris according to standard industry practices. 2. Contractor shall install new roof sheathing. 3. Contractor shall install cedar breather underlayment. 4. Contractor shall install approximately 250 square feet of red cedar shingles to match existing. Contractor to confirm measurements in the field. 5. Contractor shall install new cedar hip and ridge caps 6. Contractor shall coat the roof shingles with WoodScapes exterior polyurethane semitransparent stain (or approved equivalent). 7. Contractor shall provide material submittals for review and approval by City staff.
