Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Detroit, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

A. The summary of the scope of work to be performed on this Project includes: 1. Installation of approximately 42,000 feet of 54-inch diameter pipe by open cut method, installation of 2450 feet of 54-inch diameter pipe on piles, 350 feet of 24 inch diameter pipe, seven sectionalizing valve vaults and installation of owner supplied valves , manholes, air release and vacuum valves, a cathodic protection system, other appurtenances and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 2. Construction of seven tunnels under or adjacent to MDOT highways I-275, I-96, and M-5. The work includes construction of the launching and receiving shafts, installation of initial support casing pipe, 54-inch diameter pipe, grout between pipe and casing, monitoring system, any required ground support, dewatering and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 3. Installation of a 30-inch hot tap on the existing 48-inch diameter pipe, construction the hot tap valve vault including installation of the owner supplied valve, construction of concrete encasement, installation of all piping, restoring all demolished paving and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 4. Construction of the control valve vault at the Haggerty Pump Station. Construction includes construction of the valve vault, installation of the piping, valves, pipe supports, installation of the instrumentation, sump pump, electrical power, appurtenances and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 5. Construction of a connection to the 42" suction line and connection to the 24" reservoir line at the Haggerty Pump Station during a shutdown. 6. Demolition and reconstruction of approximately 22,400 feet of bike path in the I-275/I-96 MDOT right of way between 8 Mile Rd and 11 Mile Rd. The installation includes the installation of subgrade, asphalt, four culverts, striping and all other requirements of the drawings and specification. 7. Demolition and reconstruction of approximately 5800 feet of bike path in the M-5 right of way between 13 Mile Rd and 14 Mile Rd. The installation includes the installation of subgrade, asphalt, striping and all other requirements of the drawings and specification. 8. Installation of 2700 feet of 12" water main in 11 Mile Rd. The installation includes two connections to Novi's existing water piping, isolation valves and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 9. Lane restoration of Meadowbrook Road from approximately 800 feet north of I-96 to 12 Mile Rd. The road restoration includes demolishing and removing the paving and removal of the subgrade where the pipe is installed and replacing the subgrade where the pipe is installed, repaving two lanes of the road and striping the road, traffic control and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 10. Complete road reconstruction of 11 Mile Rd from Seeley Rd to Meadowbrook Rd, Meadowbrook from 12 Mile Rd to 13 Mile Rd and 13 Mile Rd from Meadowbrook to M-5. This includes demolishing and removing the existing paving, removal of the subgrade, installing new subgrade, paving and striping. This includes adding a right turn lane from southbound Meadowbrook to 11 Mile Rd and modification of the signal at the intersection of 11 Mile Rd and Meadowbrook. The work includes traffic control and all other requirements of the drawings and specifications. 11. Restoration of the existing trees and vegetation within the MDOT R/W adjacent to the I-275, I-96, M-5 and other places shown on the drawings.
