Town of Norridgewock, Maine will receive sealed Bids for the Baseball Field Drainage Improvements project in accordance with the Invitation to Bid, Bid Form, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings. The award decision is based on the lowest, most responsive, and responsible Bidder. Award of project is subject to Select Board approval. The Award of Contract will be on or about May 6, 2021. Work may begin upon final signature of contract(s), as weather permits. Substantial Completion will be no later than August 27, 2021, unless otherwise agreed to by the Town. The work shall consist of the installation of a 1,280 SF concrete pad, approximately 165 linear feet of new water service line and approximately 2,300 linear feet of underdrain piping for the Town's baseball field complex, adjacent to the Mill Stream Elementary School property on Route 2, in Norridgewock, Maine. No addenda will occur after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Total Bid must be submitted as part of the bid. The Bid Security may be either a proposal guarantee bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Maine or a certified check drawn upon a bank within the State of Maine. No Bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of Bids unless released by the Owner. Bids submitted without Bid Security and completed certification forms will not be considered. The successful Bidder shall perform the work and furnish a Performance and Payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price with a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Maine. The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and in effect through the guarantee period. The Town of Norridgewock reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, to reject any unbalanced bids, to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the Owner, to negotiate the Contract Price with any Bidder, and to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the interest of the Owner.
