Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,480-square-foot service station / car wash facility; warehouse / distribution facility; municipal facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of complete site work and construction of a new mechanical, brine and wash bay (MBW) building at the DOT Maintenance Facility. A 6,480 sq.ft. maintenance mechanic's bay, wash bay, brine area, storage, and office. The construction consists of prefabricated, pre-cast concrete wall panels and Double T roof structure, EPDM roof, concrete slabs, CMU interior walls, hoists, insulated overhead doors, and complete HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. All site work including: Grading, gravel drives, concrete approaches, and utility improvements. DOT is seeking the following trades: General Contractor DOT Contract Start Date: May 24, 2021, On site work to begin July 1, 2021. DOT Substantial Completion Date: February 28, 2022 DOT Final Project Completion Date: March 14, 2022 this includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance. DOT Contract End Date: April 30, 2022 this includes processing of final pay applications. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. This is a tax exempt project.
