Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a service station / car wash facility; for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project consists of complete site work and construction of a new mechanical, brine and wash bay (MBW) building with an exterior brine containment at the Spirit Lake DOT Maintenance Facility. All site work including: Grading, paving, drives, sidewalks, utility improvements and exterior lighting. DOT is seeking the following trades: General Contractor It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. This is a tax exempt project. DOT Contract Start Date: May 24, 2021-On site work to begin July 1, 2021. DOT Substantial Completion Date: February 28, 2022 DOT Project Final Completion Date: March 14, 2022 this includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance. DOT Contract End Date: April 30, 2022 this includes processing of final pay applications.
