Description: Major Quantities on the Project Include: 1 LS Maintenance of Traffic 47,300 SY Remove Asphalt Surface Milling (2-inch) 500 SY Base Patching 6,000 Ton HMA Pavement 4 MT 58-34 H Fiber 3,400 Gal Tack Coat With Alternate Bid Items to Include: 29,000 SY Additional Remove Asphalt Surface Milling 3,500 Tons Additional HMA Pavement 2,100 Gal Additional Tack Coat 58,000 LF Pavement Marking Lines, Stop Bars, and Crosswalks (Epoxy Option) 50 Each Pavement Marking Words and Symbols (Epoxy Option) 58,000 LF Pavement Marking Lines, Stop Bars, and Crosswalks (Paint Option) 50 Each Pavement Marking Words and Symbols (Paint Option) Additional Description: Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted to SEH in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages in effect for the State of Wisconsin. Bids shall be directed to the Clerk-Treasurer, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "BID FOR 2021 MAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS." The City of Rice Lake reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.. A. The Work shall begin on or after July 6, 2021. B. The Work between South Street and Orchard Beach Lane shall not begin until on or after July 19, 2021, unless approval is received from the Owner due to the early completion of the associated South Main Street Drainage Improvements project. C. The overall Work, regardless of which alternates are selected for inclusion in the contract, will be substantially completed on or before August 6, 2021, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before August 10, 2021. Mill and Overlay of Main Street between Burton Street and Stein Street. Mill off 2 inches of existing asphalt and install a 2-inch HMA Pavement surface. Bid Alternates include a 2-inch mill and overlay of Main Street between the South City Limits and Burton Street, and pavement marking paint.
