Douglas County Project 2021-01 consists of approximately 17 miles of single bituminous seals which includes 2.5 miles of shoulders along with an Add Alternate No 1 to prime and double seal 2,020 SY fire station parking lot, Add Alternate No 2 to single seal approximately 2.88 miles on various County Routes, County maintained subdivisions, streets for the City of Lecompton and Baldwin City located in Douglas County, Kansas. Said check or bond shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners, Douglas County, Kansas. Douglas County may make changes in the scope of work required to be performed by the Contractor under this contract by making additions thereto, or by omitting work therefrom, without invalidating the Contract, and without relieving or releasing the Contractor from any of his/her obligations under the contract or any guarantee given by him/her pursuant to the contract provisions. No limit will be fixed and no change order will be required for such increased or decreased quantities nor shall any adjustment in unit prices be allowed, provided the net monetary value of all such additive and subtractive change in quantities of such items of work shall not increase or decrease in the original contract price by more than twenty-five percent (25%).
