This Project is located along multi-ple blocks within the Longfellow Creak basin in the City of Seattle. The three distinct, sites are locat-ed at: 1) 24th Ave SW from SW Barton PI to SW Thistle St; 2) Sylvan Way SW and SW Orchard St intersection; and 3) SW Kenyon St and 24th Ave SW intersection. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This main purpose of this project is to provide water quality treat-ment, for street runoff that drains to Longfellow Creek by retrofit-ting the roadsides with Wore-tention treatment systems, and to provide pedestrian improve-ments at sites 1 and 3 described above. This Project consists of the following elements of Work: Construction stormwater ero-sion control; clearing & grubbing; demolition and removal of existing surface pavement, sidewalks, and curbs; removal and abandoning existing drainage structures and piping; protection, relocation, and/ or adjustments of existing utilities, including water services; recon-nection to the existing drainage system; installation of new sur-face drainage systems, including: storm drainage piping, drainage structures, and bioretention cells; pedestrian bridge and boardwalk construction, including pedestrian street lighting; and final site res-toration, including: surface pav-ing, sidewalks, curbs, driveway, and curb ramps, final planting, and landscaping.
