The Work includes the provision of all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to complete the construction of the following, as specified and shown in the Construction Documents: * One 428,000 gallon bolted steel water reservoir, one 210,000 gallon bolted steel water reservoir, and associated site grading, pipeline, and paving work. The site of work is located in the City of Yucaipa, County of San Bernardino, California. Completion of Work : The 210,000 gallon reservoir and the transmission pipeline must be completed within 120 calendar days, and all work must be completed within 240 calendar days from date of Award. Certain construction activities must be complete within specific calendar time frames as a result of various funding and/or permit requirements. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the total amount named in the proposal. Said check or bond shall be made payable to the Owner and shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the work, will enter into a contract and will furnish the necessary insurance certificates, faithful performance bond, and labor and material bond, within ten (10) working days after receipt of the contract and/or Notice of Award from the Owner. Each of said bonds to be in the amount of one-hundred (100) percent of the total bid price. In case of refusal or failure to enter into said contract, the check or bid bond, as the case may be, shall be forfeited to the Owner. If the bidder elects to furnish a bid bond as his proposal guarantee, he shall use the bid form found herein, or one conforming substantially to it in form. The Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general rate of holiday and over-time work in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of workmen needed to execute the Contract or Work as hereinafter set forth (see Labor Code 1770 et.seq.). Copies of rates are on file at the office of the Owner, which copies shall be made available to any interested party on request. The successful Bidder shall post a copy of such determinations at each job site. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and all Contractors and Subcontractors shall pay prevailing wages on this Project. Bidders shall be licensed under the classification of GENERAL ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR, CLASS A as of the date of submittal of the bid documents and shall maintain such license until final acceptance of the work.
