The scope of work for South Miami Water Mains includes five (5) Water Main Extensions to serve 16 single family residences. The proposed Water Mains will include installation of 346 LF of 8" DIP W.M. along SW 63 Terr and SW 67 Ave 661 LF of 16" DIP W.M. along SW 72 St between SW 69 Ave and SW 68 Ave, 561 LF of 8" DIP W.M. along SW 42 Terr between SW 63 Ave and SW 62 Ct., 601 LF of 8" DIP W.M. along SW 61 Ave between SW 42 St and SW 40 St and 46 LF of 8" DIP W.M. along SW 70 St between SW 63 Ct and SW 63 Ave, in Miami Dade. In addition, the pavement restoration and pavement marking per plans where the water main will be installed. The Respondent, when submitting the Proposal, must include a Proposal/Bid Bond, if required for this project, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the base Proposal on the Proposal/Bid Bond Form included herein. A company or personal check will not be deemed a valid Proposal Security Deadline to Submit Questions 4/28/2021 10:00 AM Deadline to City Responses to Questions 5/5/2021 10:00 AM The City of South Miami may require the successful Respondent to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total Proposal Price, including Alternates if any, naming the City of South Miami, and the entity that may be providing a source of funding for the Work, as the obligee, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract and for the payment of all persons or entities performing labor, services and/or furnishing materials in connection herewith. The City reserves the right to award the Project to the person with the lowest, most responsive and responsible Proposal, as determined by the City, subject to the right of the City, or the City Commission, to reject any and all proposals, and the right of the City to waive any irregularity in the Proposals or Solicitation procedure and subject also to the right of the City to award the Project, and execute a contract with a Respondent or Respondents, other than to the one who provided the lowest Proposal Price and, if the Scope of the Work is divided into distinct subdivisions, to award each subdivision to a separate Respondent.
