Project indefinitely delayed due to unexpected environmental permit requirement. The work to be done generally consists of excavating soil to create keyway/bench as shown on plans to allow placement of rock riprap fill buttress on the downslope embankment near 210 Canon Dr. to repair erosion damage from a blocked stormdrain pipe. Install temporary debris fence with steel posts prior to starting machine work. Number of Working Days: 17 The City of Orinda does not guarantee the arrival of the plans and specifications in time for bidding. Note: Bid documents must be obtained as noted above in order to submit a bid. The Contractor and all subcontractors are not qualified to bid on or be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of section 4104 of the California Public Contract Code, and shall not engage in the performance of any work under this contract, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5 of the California Labor Code. The work performed pursuant to this contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4. Bids and bid bonds shall be made on the Bid Proposal issued. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check/s or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the order of "City of Orinda". Any bid received after the time specified in this Notice will be returned unopened. No oral, telegraphic, or facsimile bids or modifications will be accepted or considered. Bids must cover the entire project, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services. Neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any portion of any bid and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Bidder may not withdraw their bids after the bid opening.
