Demolition, site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work generally consists of demolition and removal of the structure and associated mechanical and electrical equipment relating to the Cedar Rapids Hydropower Facility, and site restoration at the completion of the project. Representatives of OWNER and ENGINEER will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are strongly encouraged to participate in the conference. ENGINEER will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as ENGINEER considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. Tours of the facilities can be provided to prospective bidders upon request. OWNER's Right to Reject Bids The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
