**The project has been awarded to American Asphalt Repair and Resurfacing Co., Inc. for $282,036.53. The improvements are generally described as follows: Asphalt concrete pavement rehabilitation on various park pathways at Musick Park, Mirabeau Park, Birch Grove Park, Civic Center Park, and Silliman Center. The scope of work includes traffic control; asphalt concrete pathway surface conform/full width grinding; localized patch paving of various depths; minor grading and backfilling; installation of headerboards and root barriers; installation of placement of 2-inch compacted hot mix asphalt concrete on 10-foot wide park pathways; replacement of curb ramps and sidewalk, minor concrete work, and other related items of work as needed to complete the public works improvements. It is the City's intent to award the contract for this work on May 27, 2021 with a Notice to Proceed to be issued on June 1, 2021. The first working day will be no later than June 7, 2021. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A California Contractors License at the time of the bid opening. The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond. Items of work in conjunction with this project are included in the proposal.
