Included in this Project will be the Midland Draw Widening - Front Street to Golf Course Road Project to be performed as outlined in the Plans and Specifications, which are necessary to satisfactorily complete the work. The project base bid will include clearing and grubbing, strip and stockpile topsoil, demolition of existing structures, removal of outfall protection wall, installation of concrete flumes, concrete cap, fence and gate, installation of erosion control blankets, vegetative watering, and including all necessary mobilization as well temporary as erosion control, traffic control, coordination with City of Midland staff and organizations such as TxDOT, OSHA, franchise utilities, etc. as needed, One Call (Texas 811) notifications for pending work, notifications to adjacent property owners as directed by City of Midland staff, and all other work to be performed as outlined in the Construction Drawings and Specifications, to satisfactorily complete the work. Additive Alternate 1 will include flexible caliche base for the service roads along the top banks. Additive Alternate 2 will include concrete flume extensions and center valley. Additive Alternate 3 will include paving a hike & bike path. The Owner reserves the right to abandon, without obligation to the Contractor, any part of the project, or the entire project, at any time before the Contractor begins any construction work authorized by the Owner. Standard Specifications for Construction of the City of Midland will govern all construction, except as modified by these Special Provisions.
