Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Bern, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The correction of hurricane damaged sidewalks, terraces, and ramps at the Tryon Palace History Center including the following work: 1. Demolition and reconstruction of concrete ramps and ramped sidewalks including the reconstruction of damaged subsurface storm water piping serving downspouts penetrating the ramped surfaces. A portion of this work will include the removal and resetting of an existing railing, trench drain, and plantings. 2. Partial demolition of exposed aggregate concrete sidewalks and terraces and their reconstruction. 3. Removal, regrading, and resetting of concrete pavers. 4. Structural stabilization of two sets of concrete steps. This activity requires the removal and replacement of the adjacent trench drains. 5. Removal and replacement of existing sealants where the sidewalks, terraces, or steps have subsided causing the sealants to have broken their seal. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. General Contractors must have general license classification for Building Contractor as defined in Section .0200 of the Rules and Regulations of the NCLBGC No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the BID/ACCEPTANCE form provided herein with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed.
