Questions regarding this bid must be received throughwritten email or faxed inquiries directed to the designated Purchasing Coordinator listed above no later than May 10, 2021 by 5:00 pm EST The City of Haines City (City) intends to construct a new reclaimed water ground storage tank (GST), transfer pumping station, and high service pumping station at the Haines City Wastewater Treatment Plant (located at 851 E. Park Road, Haines City, FL 33844) to provide additional reclaimed water storage and to preserve the quality of the treated reclaimed water for the Haines City public access reuse (PAR) system. A new transfer pumping station will pump water from the chlorine contact chamber gravity discharge into the new 3.0 million gallon (MG) GST. A new high service pumping station will draw from the new GST and discharge into the existing PAR system. In addition, the City intends to construct a new off-site package booster pumping station, adjacent to the Southern Dunes Golf Club (located at 2630 N 10th Street, Haines City, FL 33844). The new booster pumping station will pump from the existing PAR system directly to the golf course high pressure irrigation system, avoiding re-pumping from the golf course storage pond which decreases water quality. A new reclaimed water pipeline will be installed at the Southern Dunes Golf Club and will tie-into the existing high pressure irrigation system at the Golf Club's existing well house. All bidders shall submit with their bid an acceptable Bid bond or certified check as specified in the Bid Form. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days after the bid opening date. The project is funded with funds from Florida's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). SRF project requirements include Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, American Iron and Steel and Davis-Bacon Act requirements and provisions all provision required by the SRF program must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors. Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid on this project.
