This year's resurfacing program will be bid by unit cost including labor and materials to be specified by ton or per gallon price or cost per sq. yd. for milling. All bids should be placed in a sealed envelope marked "Minerva Street Resurfacing Program" and delivered to the Office of the Village Administrator no later than above designated time and date. All bids shall contain either a cashier's check, certified check or a bid bond in the amount of $5,000.00. Upon acceptance of a bid, the successful bidder will enter into a contract within ten (10) days of the bid award. All bid bonds will be returned after a contract has been executed. The successful bidder will receive their bid bond upon satisfactory completion of all work. All work must be performed within seventy-five (75) days of the bid award, unless the Village of Minerva grants a written extension. The quote will include both The Village of Minerva retaining ownership of Millings and the Contractor retaining ownership of the millings. The successful bidder will provide traffic control. The Village reserves the right to halt all work of inclement weather and to conduct independent tests on the quality, weight and measurement of materials that are bid. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids on any portions of the bids and to waive any informality that the Village deems to be in its best interest.
