As of May 21, 2021, the project has been awarded to Milesstone Contractors North, Inc. for $1,127,516.77 and Reith Riley Inc. for $1,097,489.59. Sealed bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form provided in the Project Documents and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation that copies of Addenda were received (if issued), and satisfactory bid security. Bidders must be experienced in the construction of the type of facilities to be built under the Contract(s) for which a bid is submitted. Materials shall be supplied by an INDOT certified manufacturer. Pursuant to Indiana Code 22-5-1.7-11, the Contractor entering into a contract with the City of Crown Point is required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all of its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program. The Contractor is not required to verify the work eligibility status of all its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program if the E-Verify program no longer exists. Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-22-16.5 the City of Crown Point may not contract with a person who is engaged in investment activities in Iran. In determining the lowest responsible bidder, the Owner will consider the Total Base Bid and/or any combinations of the total base bid and/or alternate bids. All bids must comply with the City's Responsible Bidding Ordinance. The City may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents or which the Owner may legally consider. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the City deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
