Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a service station / car wash facility; for the construction of a service station / car wash facility; and for site work for a service station / car wash facility.

As of May 20, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 7, 2021 Council Meeting. The project includes the relocation of the fuel depot to the south end of the existing Public Works facility in Grand Forks, ND and demolition of the existing location on the north side of the site. The project also includes two new generators and service. Project includes the installation of concrete pavement, curb and gutter and storm sewer to provide access to the proposed fuel depot. Concrete pavement section is to be 8" concrete pavement with 12" of aggregate base. Storm sewer shall consist of 2 new catch basins connected to an existing manhole via 12" RCP. Earthwork and landscape grading shall be included as part of the civil work. Project includes the demolition of existing underground fuel tanks, fuel island, canopy, and structure as well as the small fuel shack building on the north end of the property. In the new location, on the south end, two new above ground, double walled, 12,000 gallon fuel tanks, new fuel island with 3 new dispensers and relocated fuel master, a new canopy via delegated design with lighting. The new fuel depot area will be functional prior to demolition of the existing. Project also includes re-configuring the underground conduit between the service transformers and the main distribution switchboard. A new underground service will be installed between the existing utility transformer and each service rated ATS. This will also include the installation of two 92) new 300KW natural gas generators. Each of the services will need to be done one at a time, temporary power feeds between the services will be required to keep the entire facility operational and minimize downtime. Separate Bids will be received from qualified Bidders at the same time on the following portions of the work, separately as listed or combined at the Bidder's option: General Contract Mechanical Contract Electrical Contract Any Combined bid shall not be accepted if it exceeds the sum of the lowest responsible Multiple Prime bid categories being combined. Bids received after the designated time will not be accepted. It is the Bidder's responsibility to submit their bid to QuestCDN prior to the time of the Bid opening. The successful bidder shall warrant and guarantee work for two years and shall furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract. Bonds shall remain in effect until two years after date of final payment. BID SECURITY. Bid Security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Bid including all add alternates, must accompany each Bid in accord with 00 1000 - Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable to the interest of the City of Grand Forks. Time is of the essence. The work, if awarded, shall be substantially complete by December 10, 2021 with final completion 10 calendar days thereafter. NORTH DAKOTA LAW. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as provided by North Dakota Century Code Section 43 07-05; and no bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses, and any bid deficient in these respects submitted will be re sealed and returned to the bidder immediately. THE OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject Bids and to hold all Bids for a period of 30 days after the date fixed for the opening thereof.
