The South Dakota Department of the Military, on behalf of the South Dakota Army National Guard, Construction and Facilities Management Office, is soliciting Statements of Interest from firms interested in providing professional Architectural and Engineering design services for the 466373 - Install Solar PV - Camp Rapid JFHQ project located at 2823 West Main Street, Building 420, Rapid City, South Dakota 57702. This project will involve site investigative, design development, and bidding services for a new 140 kW Photovoltaic Solar Array for a 61,000 sq ft building. Design must include accommodations for an existing diesel generator, uninterruptable power supply equipment, combined heat and power plants, and other equipment. Estimated solar production is to offset the electrical demands of a server floor and all associated support equipment. Solar array to be ballast roof mounted. Battery storage is not intended to be included in this design. Design may include upgrading existing main electrical panels in affected building. Additional services such as construction administration/inspection will be negotiated at a later date should the project proceed to the construction phase. Anticipated project timeline is as follows: Schematic Design/Site Investigation Phase complete by June 2021 Design Development Phase complete by July 2021 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
