Site work and paving for a civil project in Waterfall, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Contractors shall refer to plans and specifications. Generally, the scope of work includes vegetative clearing, milling of existing bituminous paving, stormwater inlet repairs/filling and other trail improvements to The Pennsylvania Turnpike Trail. The project involves four (4) Base Bid's and Bidding Alternates for Turnpike Trail Improvement Project and shall include the following: Base Bid No.1 - Storm Inlet Repairs and Filling All Existing Storm Water Inlets along the course of the trail from PA Route 30 in Breezewood to the form Cove Plaza location that are located in the central median and are open, no longer covered by metal grates, shall be filled with loose No. 4 Aggregate to the top surface of the inlet and flush with adjacent grades in accordance with the restoration detail. Base Bid No.2 - Tree and Vegetative Clearing Contractor shall clear and legally dispose of all brush and trees in an area 50' on both sides of the trails centerline to the outside of both paved former turnpike lanes for the PA Route 30 intersection in Breezewood, Bedford County to the Pump Station Road intersection in Fulton County. Base Bid No.3 - Milling of Existing Bituminous Pavement and Installation of Millings Contractor shall mill one entire lane of the former Turnpike and re-install the millings to create a smooth and ADA compliant Trail surface from the Breezewood PA Route 30 intersection to the former Cove Plaza site. Trail shall be a minimum of 10' in width and in accordance with installation details. Base Bid No.4 - Street Sweeping of Existing Tunnels Contractor shall sweep clean with an approved PennDOT certified street sweeper, the entire length of both the Sideling Hill and Ray's Hill tunnels. All debris shall become the property of the contractor and legally removed from the site. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates. All bidders are hereby notified that in regard to any contract pursuant to this advertisement, minority/women businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, physical disability or national origin in consideration for an award. The Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority (BFJRA) reserves the right to reject any, or all bids, or portion thereof, or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Bids may be held by the BFJRA for a period not to exceed 90 days (3 months) from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
