Renovation of a laboratory facility in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,965-square-foot, two-story above grade laboratory facility.

The project consists of the roof replacement to the Materials Lab Building #4000006 at the VDOT Richmond District Office Complex. The project is generally described as the removal of the existing EPDM roofing system including rigid insulation, flashings, storm drainage devices and accessories, metal parapet cap and their replacement with fully adhered TPO singleply roof system over a tapered rigid insulation system as indicated in the Contract Documents. Work includes, but is not limited to demolition of existing roofing systems; installation of new roofing systems; flashings; sealants; manufactured metal coping cap, wood blocking; cover board, air/vapor barriers, sheet metal scuppers, storm drainage systems, sheet metal flashings, minor masonry work and minor electrical & mechanical work. Abatement of hazardous materials, if any, is a part of this project. the roofing replacement to the Materials Lab Building at the VDOT Richmond District Complex located at 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Failure to submit the bid bond on the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2 will result in the bid being considered non-responsive.
