Sheffield Northwest District Park Aquatic Facility and Montopolis Neighborhood Park Aquatic Facility will continue the tradition of creating spaces for Austinites to gather, share and build unifying experiences. Funded through the 2018 G.O. Bonds, the project objective is to design and retrofit these new pool facilities while responding to the 2014 Aquatic Assessment recommendations and the 2018 Council approved Aquatic Master Plan. As outlined in the Aquatic Master Plan, the aquatic facilities would provide enhanced recreation programming and build on establishing sustainable aquatic facilities. Vital to the success of these projects is respecting the historic and cultural values of the communities at Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District and Montopolis neighborhood.
