Although a firm timeline for construction has not been released, construction is not expected to commence prior to fourth quarter 2022. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Manatee County Mosquito Control District ("District") announces Professional Design Services will be required by qualified Architects registered in the State of Florida to provide planning and design services, complete contract documents (plans and specifications), bid and proposal services, and construction administration for the following project: The Manatee County Mosquito Control District plans to develop a new operations campus on property located at 1420 28th Ave East, Ellenton Florida. This property contains approximately 30 acres and the development will create approximately 4.0 acres of buildings, roads and parking impervious surfaces in addition to stormwater management ponds and other improvements. Proposed building construction will include the following: 1) Administration Building 9,800 SF 2) Laboratory Building 4,900 SF 3) Open Storage Building 20,800 SF 4) Maintenance and Storage Buildings 2 each at 2,400 SF each 4,800 SF 5) Chemical Storage Building 2,400 SF 6) Aircraft Hangar 2 each at 5,000 SF each 10,000 SF 7) Jet A Fuel Containment Area 1,050 SF The total value of this development is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Applicants for the project must apply in writing for consideration. Interested architectural firms must submit the information required by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) application packet which includes the firm's abilities with respect to the specific project requirements, a synopsis of the firm's qualifications, recent past projects, resumes of key personnel, and a current Standard Federal Form 254 or 330. The Professional Services Recommendation Committee will meet at the District Headquarters at 9:00am June 2, 2021 to review and score the statements of qualifications received by the District. No fewer than three (3) firms will then be asked to present and interview with the Professional Service Recommendation Committee on June 16, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the District headquarters in Palmetto. Registered applicants, who submitted a completed RFQ, will be notified in writing of any changes to the above interview date at least five (5) days prior to the newly established interview date. Any addendum to the RFQ will be issued electronically to registered applicants. Any response to the RFQ received after the specified time and date will be considered late and unopened. Any response to the RFQ submitted orally, via e-mail or facsimile will not be accepted.
