On-call Professional Engineering Services for: Traffic/transportation Engineering The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Prior to the RFP submission deadline, questions may arise regarding procedural or administrative matters. By 3:00 p.m. on May 3, 2021 The City of Newport Beach Public Works Department is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide comprehensive professional traffic/transportation engineering services on an on-call/as-needed basis. The successful Consultant(s) shall have the ability to provide Traffic and/or Transportation Engineering services. The City anticipates awarding multiple Transportation Engineering firms with three 3 year on-call agreements, with an estimated not-to-exceed amount of $200,000.00 over the term of the agreement. However, the final agreement amount, term and number of firms selected will depend on the quality, diversity, and responsiveness of the received proposals, as well as Department and/or City Council direction. Due to the on-call/as-needed nature of this type of contract, no work is guaranteed, even if a contract is awarded. The scope, work schedule, and fee for each task will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis. A simple-formatted letter proposal will be requested for each task. The City reserves the right to not accept the Consultant's scope and fee.
