Renovation of a water / sewer project in Branford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Town of Branford, Connecticut, hereby gives notice that sealed Bids will be received for the Mechanical Screen Addition project. The work at the Branford Water Pollution Control Facility includes, but is not limited to, demolition of an existing manual bar rack and furnishing and installing a new mechanical screen and wash press / compactor. New piping and electrical conduit, instruments, and wiring will also be furnished and installed as part of this contract. The Work under the proposed Contract shall commence within 60 days after the date set forth in the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed within 240 days after start of Work. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of Bids without consent of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities or minor defects in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serve the interests of Owner. Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price.
