The Atlantic City Expressway Farley Water Tower Rehabilitation Project Re-Bid consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work required to abrasive blast and repaint the tank interior and exterior, repair various items within the tank including but not limited to new ladder safety systems, installation of pressure vent on roof, relocation of FAA lights, installation of interior lighting system, roof manhole replacement, and various pipe repairs and reconfigurations including expansion joints, insulation, and replacement. There must also be a temporary potable water source while the watersphere is out of service for rehabilitation. The temporary potable water source will require installation of a pressure transducer and insertion valve. The watersphere services the entire plaza, and the plaza is not connected to any outside water distribution service. The Authority, in accordance with law, reserves the right, according to law, to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any minor informality or non-material exceptions in any bid or bids so received. Bids must be made on the Bid Form contained in the contract documents in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. (Bid Security in the amount of ten percent of the TOTAL BID PRICE but not to exceed $20,000.00), is required to accompany all bid submissions. Payment must be received prior to obtaining said Specifictions and Bid Documents, either by mail or in person. In order to bid this project, the bidder and/or the subcontractors shall be pre-qualified under the following NJDPMC Trade Codes, or any sub code thereof: NJDPMC Trade Code C073, Caulking and Waterproofing NJDPMC Trade Code C078, Painting Tanks/Steel Structures/Elevated Structures NJDPMC Trade Code C080, Sandblasting NJDPMC Trade Code C096, Lead Paint Abatement NJDPMC Trade Code C118, Above Ground Storage Tanks Bidder shall be prequalified at time of bid submission.
