Rhode Island Contract No. 2021-CII-022, Federal Aid Project No. REV-1950 (004), is for the 1-195 Relocation, C19 Parks Bridge Completion In the City of Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. This Contract ind des the com letion of the waterfr i nt ark elements along the east and west side of the Providence River and the Providence River Pedestrian Bridge in the City of Providence. Site work includes the construction of a van accessible parking space on Dyer Street near the entrance to the west park, the removal of the bituminous walk and replacement with a new cement concrete walk along the west side of the Providence River, repair and restoration of localized erosion at existing wall drains I weep holes, removing_and resetting a modular wall, the elimination of a step at the east approach to the pedestrian bridge, and repairs to the existing walkways and rain gardens as necessary, Additional work is required to meet ADA / Accessibility requirements including applying a color contrasting tape to the blue stone stair treads, adding an accessible gaming table with companion seating and an accessible viewing area with companion seating on the pedestrian bridge, and making modifications to the existing bridge joints for compliance with ADA / Accessibility requirements. A bid bond payable to the State of Rhode Island, in the amount of 5% ofthe total or gross sum of the bid must be furnished by each bidder A performance bond of one hundred (100) percent of the contract price with a satisfactory surety company will be required of the successful bidder.
