The section of roadway is 10600 LF and 22 FT wide. The project consists of placing Hot Mix Asphalt onto base prepared by the County and installation of permanent painted pavement markings beginning at SR 69 and ending at Green Rd. Unless otherwise noted within these descriptions, FDOT Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Standards Plans and FDOT January 2020 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction are the governing document. Perform preparatory work and operations in mobilizing for beginning work on the project, including, but not limited to, those operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site and for the establishment of temporary offices, buildings, safety equipment and first aid supplies, and sanitary and other facilities. Include the costs of bonds and any required insurance and any other preconstruction expense necessary for the start of the work, excluding the cost of construction materials. MOT is included in the pay items and is to be performed per FDOT standard plans unless authorized by the Project Administrator/Engineer. Unit price includes all labor, material, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install one ton of asphalt. Include construction of an asphalt apron at intersecting roads and driveways per the direction of the Public Transportation Director. Compaction shall be in static rolling mode only. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% will be required of the successful Bidder. A Bid Bond payable to Jackson County for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be filed with the proposal. The Bid Bond to be prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. All Bidders must be pre-approved by FDOT in Hot Plant-Mixed Bituminous Courses and all contractors and their subcontractors shall have adequate references showing performance of this type of work. Bidders may be required to submit detailed information regarding the staff that they propose for this project. The Contractor shall be capable of meeting all the requirements of the specifications at the time of the bid. Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all irregularities and informalities and to reject any or all bids.
