The Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC or Corporation) is inviting bidders to provide a tender with respect to the work set out in this Request for Tender (RFT) for Emergency Unit Connection in Kugaaruk,. NU. Emergency generator was shipped to Kugaaruk, NU during the 2019 Sea lift. This generator needs to be connected to pad mount transformer and then to the distribution system to provide power to the community in case of an emergency or failure of the engines inside the plant. The Kugaaruk, NU power plant is a three (3) engine plant. The Volvo Emergency unit output Voltage is 600 V. The Emergency Unit will be connected to 600V side of existing transformer. The Emergency Unit connection installation, testing and commissioning in Kugaaruk, NU power plant required to be completed no later than October 30, 2021.
