Intent: It is the intent of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) to secure a qualified South Carolina licensed General Contractor, with appropriate licensing from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR), for the clearing, grubbing, debris removal and site stabilization of approximately 0.45 acres and the installation of approximately 460 linear feet of chain link fence at the SCDNR Styx Facility in Lexington County in the town of Pineridge, SC. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment required to complete the project in conformance with the specifications. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to: 1) Clear and grub approximately 0.45 acres of trees and vegetation, grade to a smooth uniform grade to prevent standing water and stabilize, including site preparation and re-seeding in accordance with the specifications. All stumps, roots, and root clusters that have a diameter of 1 inch or larger shall be grubbed out to a depth of at least 2 foot below grade. All materials cleared and grubbed from the designated area shall be disposed of off-site. The contractor shall be responsible for protecting the property outside of the designated clearing area and shall implement all necessary measures to prevent sediment from migrating from the site by employing the appropriate sediment and erosion control measures as dictated by SCDHEC. The contractor is responsible for all fees, rules, and regulations required for off-site disposal. 2) Install approximately 460 linear feet of chain link fencing as shown on the plan and specifications.
