Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project begins at Broad Street and extends easterly to the head of the Assabet River Rail Trail (ARRT) at the intersection of Highland Street and Cashman Street, a total distance of approximately 3,300 feet. Proposed improvements include roadway reconstruction, traffic signal upgrades, pedestrian and bicycle improvements to the maximum extent practical within the public Right-of Way, with cement concrete sidewalks, vertical granite curbing, ADA-compliant ramps and a dedicated connection of the (ARRT) to Marlborough Main Street, in the downtown area of the City. Bidders must be prequalified by the MassDOT Highway Division pursuant to M.G.L. c. 81, 8B. The project is funded in part by a MassWorks Infrastructure Program Grant to the City from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development ("EOHED").
