The project consists of the excavation of roadway and embankment, installation of geosynthetic material and roadway aggregate, rock slope protection, new pavement, guiderail; and all other associated work listed herein, and as indicated on the plans. NO Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of Lower Mount Bethel Township; or a Bid Bond in favor of Lower Mount Bethel Township, in the amount of 5% of the total bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. All Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor and be prequalified in the specific PennDOT Work Class Codes that constitute at least 50% of the project. The project will be constructed in conformance with PennDOT Publication 408 (latest edition) and the project General Requirements. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of the bid opening. Lower Mount Bethel Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities. Clarification Deadline 5/25/2021 4:00 PM The Work will be substantially completed, and road re-opened within forty-five (45) days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within sixty (60) days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
