Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fairmont, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Scope of the Project includes approximately 2200 SY of asphalt milling, 610 tons of Asphalt wearing and scratch course, pavement markings, inlet repair and installation, 625 LF of curb and gutters, 335 LF of curb, 180 LF of drainage pipe, and some misc. items. Milling of the existing surface will have to be performed to positive drainage. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. The Work will begin on October 11, 2021 and be substantially completed by June 24, 2022. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Fairmont State University in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid.
