The Project includes the following Work: Modifications to piping, new piping, relocation of turbidimeters, new turbidimeters and chlorine analyzers, new flow meters, new motor actuated valves, a precast concrete valve vault, underground piping and valves, controls, electrical power distribution, electrical signal and control wiring, and underground electrical conduit and wiring, and related work. Pre-bid Conference There will not be a pre-bid conference. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract price, shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The Galeton Borough Authority reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids and to award either contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the total of all lump sum items. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. The Work is to be constructed under one contract as follows: Contract 1 Water System Improvements Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her.
