Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Scarborough, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
Parks Canada Agency is proposing a capital infrastructure project that will see a revitalization of the Mast Trail Trailhead and the Glen Rouge Campground in Rouge National Urban Park (RNUP). Mast Trailhead works feature an improved and redesigned parking lot, a new trailhead washroom, and act as an orientation point for visitors to go north to the main RNUP trail network or go south towards a future trail connecting to Rouge Beach. A section of this trail going south will be completed in this project. The campground improvement works will see renovations of the maintenance building and washroom, a new gatehouse building, campsite improvements, a new tuck shop and firewood storage building, additional campground parking, a mobile accessible washroom addition, overall accessibility improvements, and re-naturalizing the upper campground area including the swing set removal. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $5,000,000, Taxes extra. Documents can be obtained from https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tenders. Tender has been cancelled. If/when the project will be re-tendered is undetermined at this time.
