Renovation of a municipal facility in Akron, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Historic Town Hall Restoration Project. - Project Consisting of: Exterior Restoration of the Historic Town Hall, Located at 1241 N. Cleveland Massillon Road, Akron, Ohio 44333 1. General: The work consists of a limited salvage of existing stone stairs/steps at the front of the building, replacement of two wooden columns, replacement of window side casing, replacement of a limited number of built-in window sills, replacement of a limited number of siding boards, replacement of corner boards as noted, complete replacement of a painted wood balustrade system at an existing entry ramp and basement stair at the rear of the building, replacement of existing wood windows as noted, replacement of gutters, downspouts and flashing at the bottoms of the gable sides of the roofs, complete scraping and re-painting, caulking and sealing of all of the facades, installation of new basement windows and installation of security grating. 2. Electrical: New exterior grade-mounted lighting, circuits and controls as indicated As of March 22, 2022, construction is underway. All trades are let. The project is expected to be complete in April of 2022. *Subcontractor bidding may be ongoing for select trades. Interested subcontractors should contact the awarded general contractor to check on available bidding opportunities.
