Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of July 8, 2021, this project has already been awarded and completed but the award information is not yet available. Bids must be upon the forms furnished by Frank B. Taylor Engineering. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to Lawrence County. The Lawrence County Commissioners reserves the right to accept any bid, which in their judgment may prove to be in the best interest of the taxpayer, and also reserve the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids.During the removal of the existing structure, retain for reuse the bolts, nuts, and washers used for the bridge railing system (horizontal rails and railing posts), the railing posts and base plates, and the anchor plates used to attach the laminated deck sections to the steel beams. Satisfactorily dispose of the existing wood components of the existing bridge. Re-construct bridge decking, posts, and railing in accordance with the details and dimensions indicated on the drawings. Provide fasteners (nails, screws, etc.) of sufficient length and number to adequately attach wood components.
