For Potable Well 20 Pumping System The City of Middletown maintains a wellfield near the Water Treatment Plant consisting of multiple potable wells. This project will provide the City with a complete pumping system for Potable Well 20. PW20 is an existing well installed by others in the Spring of 2020. The PW20 pumping system shall include 3,500 gpm pump, approximately 430 LF of buried 16-inch diameter pipe, valving and appurtenances, valve box, electric power, and communication for controls. Work also includes abandonment of PW18 and PW19 in accordance with Ohio EPA regulations and guidance. This includes demolition of platforms, concrete valve boxes, fencing, and piping and appurtenances. Additional work associated with this project is provided in the specification and contract drawings. Specifications and contract drawings are attached to this notice. All work shall be completed and acceptable within 120 days of Notice-to-Proceed. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty bond in the amount of 100% of the bid or a certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid in accordance with section 153.54 O.R.C. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and to provide a 100% performance bond within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
