The City of Newark is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) to provide professional services related to the formation of two separate Area Improvement Districts for the construction of frontage improvements within the Lindsay Tract and Birch Street neighborhoods, pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 (Sections 10000-10706 of the California Streets and Highways Code) and all related government codes and regulations. The preliminary cost estimate for these improvements is $6.5 million. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Questions regarding the Request for Proposals are due by Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Questions should be submitted by e-mail to Mr. Jayson Imai, Assistant City Engineer, at jayson.imai@newark.org. Responses to all questions received will be posted to this webpage by end of business day on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
