**As of Sept. 21, 2021, the project was awarded to Milestone Contractors North, Inc. of Griffith, IN bid of $12,376,903.00. The start and completion date has not yet determined. Bids are solicited for the site improvements for the Town of Griffith Sidewalk Replacement Program - Contract B in Griffith, IN 46319. Construction work will include sidewalk removal and replacement, driveway removal and replacement, curb ramp removal and replacement, tree removal, tree root pruning, grading and excavation for sidewalk, and all other appurtenances to install sidewalk at various areas within the Town of Griffith. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within a period of 60 days following the date set for the receiving of bids. The Owner reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and all bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Owner further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to the Bidder Owner determines to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, all to the advantage of the GRIFFITH TOWN COUNCIL, or to reject all bids Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the TOWN OF GRIFFITH or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department Circular 570. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price will be required from the Contractor to whom the work is awarded.
