Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rockwall, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) wishes to reconstruct FM 549, an existing two lane bidirectional roadway, from SH 205 to SH 276, approximately 11,000 feet in length. The roadway lies within a suburban area of the City of Rockwall. Reconstruction will be four lane divided: two vehicle lanes (25' B-B) in each direction separated by median with concrete curb and gutter with 5 ft sidewalks on each side. These improvements will be provided via a separate TxDOT Contract. The City of Rockwall (City) requested the existing sanitary sewer and water infrastructure that will be in conflict with the above referenced TxDOT project to be relocated. Scope of work: As per the provided plans and specifications, the project is designed to relocate approximately 2,800 LF of 12" and 8" water main and approximately 800 LF of 8" wastewater force main along with their associated appurtenances outside of future FM 549 roadway improvements. Bidder must submit, with their Bid, a Cashier's check, Certified check or a Bid Bond from an approved surety company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and guarantee forms, if required, within 10 days after notice of award of contract. he successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the City. A ten percent (10%) Maintenance Bond (2-year) is required for this project The right is reserved by the City of Rockwall to reject any and all bids.
