Deadline for Inquiries 3:00 PM, June 9th, 2021 CFPUA reserves the right to reject any or all SOQ's to waive any informality or irregularity in any SOQ received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective SOQ received. Questions pertaining to the selection process should be directed to Bid Manager at bids@cfpua.org no later than 3:00PM June 9, 2021. CFPUA staff will discuss the scope of work, general contract issues and respond to questions from the attendees. Because staff will not be available to respond to individual inquiries regarding the project scope outside of this pre-submittal conference, attendance at this pre-submittal conference is highly recommended. The Southside wastewater treatment plant was originally constructed in 1972 as a 6 MGD trickling plant. In 1986, the plant features were substantially expanded to 12 MGD and included the addition of a short detention activated sludge process for improved treatment. A condition assessment of the Southside plant was completed in 2012. In addition, CFPUA has planned and designed a major capacity expansion to the Southside plant. That expansion will entail significant upgrades and changes to the current facility and is projected for completion within the 10-year capital improvement plan.
