The extension consists of approximately 1,345 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch PVC sewer main, 300 LF of 8-inch DIP sewer main, (6) 4-footdiameter manholes, (3) 6-foot-diameter manholes, and (1) outside drop connection to existing manhole. Each bid must be accompanied by a 5% bid security in the proper form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of each successful bidder. In accordance with Section 40-11-100 of the SC Code, bids will be accepted only from properly licensed contractors for all general contracts costing $30,000 or more and all mechanical contracts costing $17,500 or more. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the actual bid opening date. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding and to reject all Bids if it is in the Owners best interest to do so. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
