Renovation of a mixed-use development in Oswego, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Owner will receive bids for the construction of Cooling Towers, Steel and other miscellaneous work. The Work will include: The Wheatlands Elementary School: Remove the existing cooling tower and replacing it with a new one. Replace existing structural support framing Thompson Junior High School: Remove and replace the existing ground mounted cooling tower. OHS: Remove and replace the exterior insulation on the exterior ductwork. Bednarcik Junior High School: Refurbish the existing cooling tower support framing. OEHS: Refurbish the existing cooling tower. BASIS OF BIDS: Bids will be a single contract, stipulated sum. 1. General Construction. TIME OF COMPLETION: The Work to be performed such that the Project will be Substantially Complete as indicated in the Document 00 3113 - Preliminary Schedule. RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any errors, omissions or irregularities in the bids or the bidding procedure when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve its best interests. Any bid which is not accompanied by the required bid security or by any other documents or certifications required by the Bidding Documents, and any bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular, is subject to rejection at the sole discretion of the Owner.
