Renovation of a mixed-use development in Silverdale, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Sealed bids for HVAC Improvements 2021 Phase 1 at Emerald Heights Elementary School, PineCrest Elementary School, and Klahowya Secondary School A bid shall consist of two components. The Primary Component (Base Bid and Unit Pricing) shall be submitted not later than specified date and time. The Secondary Component (Alternates and Subcontractor Listing) shall be submitted not later than 3:00 PM prevailing local time on June 10, 2021. Bids received by the Central Kitsap School District Capital Projects Office after the times listed may not be considered. Time of receipt will be as determined by the time received in the Central Kitsap School District Capital Projects Office. The HVAC Improvements 2021 Phase 1 at Emerald Heights Elementary School (EM), PineCrest Elementary School (PI), and Klahowya Secondary School (KSS) are located at their respective schools. If space is available, provisions could be made for mechanical equipment to be shipped and stored at the school district facility prior to the end of the school year. Contractor will need to coordinate the storage of these units with the school district prior to receipt of shipment. Contractor shall receive shipment from shipping company or manufacturer. Central Kitsap School District will not be liable for damage incurred during shipping. Mechanical equipment will need to be moved from the school district warehouse to its school site within one week of the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Coordinate with the school district for each school's specific storage location. Phase 1 of this project includes HVAC improvements at three schools, EM, PI, and KSS. The work at EM includes replacement of four rooftop packaged heat pump air handlers, two wall mounted heat pump air handlers, and an electric boiler. The work at PI includes the replacement of two natural gas boilers. The work at Klahowya includes eleven exhaust and booster fans in the main mechanical mezzanine which are currently inaccessible for service. This project includes scope to provide access through the addition of walkways, safety tie-offs, and relocation of six fans. Any changes resulting from this conference will be made by Addendum following the conference. The conference is held for the benefit of the bidders. It is requested that some person of authority from the office of the prospective bidder attend this meeting. All questions concerning the Bidding or Contract Documents should be directed to Paul Greenwalt with Wood Harbinger. Submit all questions in writing via email to pgreenwalt@woodharbinger.com. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond with State-Licensed Surety Company as surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the Central Kitsap School District #401. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond. Such bonds shall be furnished by a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Pursuant to RCW 39.04.320, no less than fifteen percent of the labor hours shall be performed by apprentices, unless a different amount is permitted or otherwise required by law. Central Kitsap School District #401 reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding and to accept bids, which are considered to be in the best interest of Central Kitsap School District #401. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days.
