As of 08/19/2021 this project has been awarded to Mar-Allen Concrete Products in the amount of $162,175.70. The general scope of work is for the repair of scour and undermined portions of the existing structure. Major items of work generally include excavation, construction of reinforced concrete jackets, placement of grouted rock, reconstruction of concrete caps, and installation of erosion and sediment pollution controls. Clarification Deadline: 6/25/2021 4:00 PM Each proposal must be accompanied by a copy of a certified check or bid bond payable to "Lebanon County", in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the bid total. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Contractor must familiarize himself with the site prior to submitting a bid. Lebanon County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Sponsor. All work shall be in conformance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Publication 408, dated 2020 Change No. 2, and the Contract Specifications. Prequalification of bidders, as specified in Section 102.01 of Publication 408, dated 2020 Change No. 2, is NOT required on this project. Lebanon County, in accordance with Title IV of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49 CFR, notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that DBE firms will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Having carefully examined the Contract Documents together with all Addenda or Bulletins, as prepared by the Engineers, and being familiar with the various conditions affecting the work, (including those under the Technical Specifications & Special Construction Provisions, which provide for the payment of construction engineering liquidated damages of $885/Day in the event the contract is not completed within the allotted time) the undersigned agrees to furnish all labor, materials and equipment to construct beginning on or about July 26, 2021 and will be completed within 60 calendar days, all the necessary contract work, in accordance with said contract documents, for which the following units and/or lump sum prices are submitted. Each Contractor shall furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract for faithful Performance; a separate surety bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract for the payment of Labor and Materials; and a separate Maintenance bond in an amount equal to 25% of the total contract price up to $200,000; plus 10% above $200,000.
