Renovation of a mixed-use development in Northport, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

This amendment clarifies section 10, first page, first paragraph of the solicitation. This project is for Electrical Power Upgrade NOT for Upgrade HVAC System. Upgrade HVAC System is a typo and therefore shall not be considered. Can Panel CL1-D3 back box remain in the wall for use as a junction box for circuits being refed by new panel CL1-D4 A new blank cover would be provided and painted to match finish on wall. Answer: No, the panel CL1-D3 will be removed completely including back box and main feeder cable and conduit. Do you have a sign in sheet you can provide from the site visit Answer: See site visit sign-in sheet attached to this amendment. Response date has been extended to May 26, 2022, 1:00 PM EST. PROJECT No. 632-21-122 Furnish all necessary professional Construction services to provide complete scope of work to Upgrade the Electrical Power for new Laboratory Equipment at Pathology Laboratory on Building 200, Northport VA Medical Center; 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768 in accordance with the project drawings, specifications and scope of work. SCOPE OF WORK This project is to provide power supply to new laboratory equipment based on the electrical power study on existing electrical panelboards inside the Laboratory. The electrical power study for existing electrical system for this laboratory had been completed and report had been submitted and approved for this construction project. Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: o Disconnect and remove existing panelboards 'CL1-D3' and 'CL1-D3B'. o Provide new 120/208V, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, 84 pole panelboards 'CL1-D4'. o Provide new receptacles and branch circuit wirings for new laboratory equipment. o Provide new branch circuit wiring to existing wiremold/receptacles fed from removing panelboard 'CL1-D3'. o All field work shall be performed on and off-hours without disturbing existing equipment in active 24/7 operation of the Lab. Lab operations are not to be interrupted during field work. o Contractor shall carefully coordinate with Laboratory Manager any scheduled/approved circuit outages in advance of any work that would affect Lab operations. o Provide all necessary tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform the work safely, effectively, and timely. Tools, equipment, and PPE shall comply with the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910, Subpart I, VA Safety Requirement and NFPA 70E. o All work performance shall comply with VA specifications Section 01 00 00 General Requirement and Section 01 35 26 Safety Requirements on PG-18-1 on https://www.cfm.va.gov/til/ o Contractor shall visit the facility and familiarize themselves with the areas of work before submitting a bid SCHEDULES o Project timeline is 180 calendar days from the Notice To Proceed for field installation services. Project 632-21-122 - Electrical Power Upgrade for New Lab Equipment - Northport VAMC IFB#: 36C24222B0033 BID PRICING SHEET Bids providing less that 120 Calendar Days of Government Acceptance after the date bids are due will not be considered and will be rejected. The bidder agrees to perform the work required at the prices specified below in strict accordance with the terms of the solicitation, if this bid is accepted by the Government in writing within 120 calendar days after the date bidders are due.
